Hello, and Welcome!

So, what’s all this about then?

The long and short of it is, I am BORED.

When COVID-19 hit, and I was left with furlough, weddings postponed till later on in the year (or next), rapidly running out of content and creative drive but gaining a-heck-of-a-lot more time, I craved something that was solely mine. Something I could spend my days pouring my, now on hold, artistic thoughts into. I’m not expecting, or indeed searching, to make a big presence on the world wide web, but I am looking to help spread a bit of joy, at least for right now. I hope this can be your slice of sunshine and the hope of things to come - god knows I needed it.

So, what am I going to waffle about?

If you’re already following me over on Instagram (and if not, why not?!), I asked what would be nice for you to read. It’s obviously a given that flowers are going to play a big part here, from trend forecasts to past stories of fabulous weddings to meanings behind blooms (floriography). You all had some great suggestions too which I am itching to get going on - A Guide To Flower Markets anyone?

As well as this, I think I also want to give a shout out to my fellow collaborators, those who also find themselves in this odd inbetween. They are those who work hard to make your Wedding Day the ‘Best-Day-Ever’, from photographers to wedding planners to bakers and dress makers. I’m hoping to get some on board to share their stories and what makes them live for what they do, making the celebration of your love as memorable and perfect as possible.

So there you have it.

‘A Blog In Bloom’ is exactly what it says on the tin, it’s a seed right now, that hopefully will bloom into something, well, lovely.

If you have any suggestions of any future posts, any questions (flower-related or not) or any collaborators you think are bloody wonderful and might want to be involved, let me know!
